The Hamlet Shirt is our first Menswear Pattern that we are running as a workshop. It is the perfect sewing course to extend your skills. On this Shirt Making Course you will learn a whole range of new technical sewing skills to enable you to make a beautifully fitting shirt.

If you would prefer to make a ladies shirt you are more than welcome to join us and bring along your own pattern as many of the skills apply to both.

Techniques and skills you'll learn:

How to sew flat felled seams
How to incorporate a contrasting button stand
How to sew really pointy points on a shirt collar
How to machine finish a double yoke
How to sew a patch pocket with a flap
How to sew a cuff placket.

So if you fancy making something quietly classic, a little bit Boden or in a fantastic floral with contrasting features come along and we’ll show you how.

All you'll need is 2 - 2.5m of fabric. You might also like to think about using a contrast for the collar stand and inside the cuff? If so you'll need about 0.5m for this, and of course the buttons. All of which can be purchased from our store. Thread and interfacing will all be here for you when you need it. You can always contact us for more information.

Refreshments will be provided, and yes that does mean cake!
