Little Bea and leggings
The Little Bea is a smaller but perfectly formed version of our ever-popular Beatrice Pinafore. The contrast binding is still there as well as the pretty cross-over back, but it has one large 'kangaroo' style pocket on the front instead of two.
The little Leggings are the perfect accompaniment to the Pinafore and the ruched ankles give a bit of extra detail but they could be left plain too.
It is a very simple shape but has a few techniques to help you with your sewing and our clear and easy to follow instructions will take you through everything step by step.
- A bound finish to the edges of the pockets and around the pinafore
- Top stitching
- Sewing with jersey
- Inserting an elastic waistband
Pinafore - Cotton poplin, craft cotton, linen, denim, baby needlecord, light weight wool
Leggings - light to medium weight jersey fabrics such as single jersey, double jersey or even a French terry jersey.
You will also need 1" wide elastic and the correct needle for your fabric. A twin needle on your machine gives a great finish to the hems of the leggings too.
