Are you passionate about organising events?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and super organised Event Coordinator to join our team at The Makers’ Space.

The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a variety of events. These range from our Makers’ Markets, private parties, feast nights, exhibitions, wellbeing sessions and business meetings, in addition to bookings for our Hayloft co-working space.

If you haven’t heard about us, the Makers’ Space is a vibrant craft and sewing community based at Longbarn Village, Alcester Heath. The Maker’s Space is housed in a collection of beautiful, listed Tudor buildings that lend themselves perfectly to all forms of creativity, from photography and videography to art and craft workshops, sewing classes, retreats, retail, and even a dog-friendly café. There is so much on offer!

In line with our brand ethos, your responsibilities will include:

  • Organising, planning, and executing all events held at The Makers’ Space.
  • Loading and managing all Makers’ Space events and Co-working availability on the website.
  • Achieving targets and goals set for the number and type of events held.
  • Managing relationships with all event clientele, their suppliers and guests.
  • Working with the marketing team to promote all Makers’ Space events.
  • Co-ordinating event logistics including equipment, venue setup and purchasing.
  • Working effectively with the team to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Creating and managing event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with local community members, businesses, and relevant organisations.
  • Acting as a point of contact for guests, dealing with queries, providing information and solving any problems.
  • Gathering feedback from guests to improve future events and to use as testimonials.
  • Maintaining accurate records of event attendance, all costs and guest feedback.

If you are the ideal candidate then you will have experience of planning and managing a variety of events, including large scale ones, and be able to demonstrate how you organise multiple events at one time. You will be calm, patient, a logical thinker and super organised.
You’ll also love processes too! If you are a creative, have an interest in sewing and are a dog lover, (we have an office Labrador called Olive) then you could be perfect!

Please apply with a covering letter explaining why you’d love to be part of our team to jules@sewmesomething.co.uk
