Join us at The Makers' Space, Longbarn Village, Alcester Heath, Alcester, B49 5JJ for the Apron Sewing Workshop
Hosted by Tracy Corns a DBS registered tutor with a back ground in Teaching and also happens to work in our Sew Me Something Shop!
This workshop is suitable for kids aged 10+ and adults alike so why not make it a family affair and come as a parent/grandparent and child team. The pattern comes in three sizes so you could use the same fabric and go 'matchy-matchy' or make them as individual as you are. You will be working from the Crafty Sew & So Adult's and Children's Apron Pattern, which is perfect for wearing when cooking, painting or even doing the house work!
Suitable Fabrics
Beginners: Cotton poplin, quilting cotton, denim
More experienced: Oilcloth, waxed cottons
Sizing:
- Toddlers age 2-5 years - height up to 100cm
- Kids age 5-10 years - height up to 150cm
- Adults - suitable for Men and Women - height up to 180cm
Fabric requirements in metres:
- Toddlers Apron requires 60cm of 110cm/45” wide fabric
- Kids Apron requires 75cm of 110cm/45” wide fabric
- Adults Apron requires 1m of 110cm/45” wide fabric
What you'll need to bring
- Fabric - Quantity dependant on the size you wish to make
- Webbing - 25mm Cotton Webbing for straps if you are not making them from your fabric, Adults 2m, Children 1.5m, Toddlers 1m
- Fat Quarter - only If you want a contrasting fabric for the pocket! Its quite nice to match your webbing to the pocket material for a coordinated look
