Learn to make a beautiful timeless Felt Christmas Garland and 3D Poinsettia flower that can be used time and again to adorn your home with festive artisanal charm.

Spend a day learning the ancient craft of felt making with Penny Dixon, a textile artist who has been felting for over 18 years.

During this class you will learn how to handle unspun wool and identify a selection of different fibres.  You will learn how to draft and lay the wool and use the fibres to create sections of fabric that can then be transformed into your beautiful felt decorations.

In the morning you will learn to make  a felted fireplace garland, whether you go for a solid colour or a blend of different greens the choice is yours, you can even add a bit of festive sparkle if you prefer a bit of bling for the holidays.

The afternoon will be dedicated to making a stunning 3D Poinsettia flower.  You can use this to make a focal point for your garland or perhaps you want to transform it into a festive themed brooch to wear with pride
