We are very excited to have Sarah Hibbert, an internationally acclaimed modern quilter who will be joining us to run this workshop in our studio.
From Collage to Quilt
When creating a paper collage, I do not necessarily see the resulting quilt in my mind. That comes when I pull away and stand back from the design. The excitement then starts to happen when I think about what fabric to use, do I go with the colours that are featured or do I resort to my overflowing fabric stash and create another colour scheme altogether?
This class with start with paper play creating your own unique design. Once a few designs have been created we will discuss the best way forward taking your design to a larger size in fabric.
This is a fun class exploring ways of quilt design.

You can use this design process as a full quilt idea or a series of smaller pieces to interlock for an overall design. Use the paper cut outs as your colour palette and just have fun!
