Is crocheting blankets beginning to lose its appeal? Do you want to create something a little more 3D that's not a toilet roll cover? This lightweight tank top could be the answer!

In this workshop we will look at some intermediate crochet skills while making a top in a soft, light yarn blend of Alpaca and Silk of your colour choice.

We will cover increasing stitches to form shapes, following a crochet pattern, the differences between UK and US crochet terms and more.

This workshop is suitable for those who can crochet at a simple level, if you have been to a beginners workshop and have had a bit of practice since, then this course is suitable for you.

Please let me know what main colour and what edging colour (or it can all be in a single shade if you prefer) you would like to use from the colour charts in the notes box when you book onto the workshop. You will make the top in a size to suit you (pictured is size 4) so to ensure I have the right amount of yarn in your colour choices, please could you also give an indication of the size you would like to make, options in inches for chest size are below:

  1. up to 32"
  2. 33" to 36"
  3. 37" to 39"
  4. 40" to 43"
  5. 44" to 49"
  6. 50" to 52"
  7. 53" to 56"
  8. 57" to 60"

    About your Tutor:

Your Tutor Zarah Meherali has been playing with yarn for years, she began with simply drooling over yarn and eventually plucked up the courage to grab a hook and begin her journey from making giant tangles to making items that were both useful and attractive.

Zarah prefers to work in natural fibres with low environmental impact and carefully sources her yarn from ethical and local suppliers where possible.

These days Zarah is having a  bit of a hat phase and sells her Historically and Anatomically inaccurate hats via her online shop ‘Made by Zee’ on Numonday.
