Choose from the Jessica or Florence dresses, both are relaxed in shape and easy to wear.
The Jessica Dress is a relaxed, easy-to-wear smock dress, perfect for both those sunny days styled with sandals or for the winter months when worn with tights.She has a simple V neck shape with button front and short sleeves making it perfect for layering over a T-shirt.
The Florence Dress is a relaxed fit, easy to wear, midi-length dress perfect for Autumn. Can be worn day to night, the ultimate transitional garment for your wardrobe. She has either a bound neckline finish and keyhole back neck opening or a neckband and button front. Also two sleeve options and gathered skirt with cut away pockets.
Over the two days you will really get to grips with both the fitting and the construction of these dresses. So you will be leaving with a fabulously made Jessica or Florence dress that fits you perfectly and the confidence to create it again from the comfort of your own home!

- How to use the correct interlinings to get a professional finish.
- How to attach a facing.
- How to sew a bound neckline
- How to sew a gathered skirt.
- How to sew in seam pockets.
- How to sew cutaway pockets
- How to sew buttons and buttonholes.
- Finishing your garment.
Skill Level:
Level 3 Advanced Beginner
- Has made simple garments in the past 6 months.
- Has familiarity with using a sewing pattern, measuring themselves and picking a size
- Is looking to learn new techniques
- Can sew simple dressmaking projects without difficulty
- Can follow a sewing pattern unaided
What you'll need
- Fabric for your dress
- Matching sewing threads
- Any sewing tools or equipment you want to use from home
What's included in the Workshop:
- 10% off any other fabrics purchased on the day of your course.
- Use of all machines and sewing tools.
- Use of our sewing threads in a variety of neutral colours.
- The paper pattern with instruction booklet.
- Tea/coffee and cakes will be included so please let us know any dietary requirements at the time of booking.
