Kids Club - Cyanotype Printing
In this workshop, you will make your very own sun print using different shapes and objects.
Photographer and educator Laura Walker will show you how to make your own sun prints. You will also make a giant Cyanotype using a bedsheet!
Protective aprons and gloves will be provided but if participants could wear old clothes just in case the paper stains.
How does it work?
The Cyanotype works by mixing together two chemicals (Potassium Ferricyanide & Ferric Ammonium). These two chemicals are mixed together with distilled water to create a light green liquid. In sunlight (UV) this liquid will change colour to a dark blue.
In this workshop, we will be using pre-coated solar paper. This means we will not be coming into contact with the raw chemistry.
This is a great fun workshop and adults are welcome to stay and have a bit of fun themselves.
Refreshments will be provided - Yes that includes cake!
