Machine Embroidery Portraits – Beginner
Have you ever considered working from a photograph or drawing that you would like to turn into an embroidered portrait? Well now is your chance!
This exciting new workshop will start with how to interpret your photograph or drawing into a line drawing that you can then trace onto fabric. You will learn the technique of tracing a drawing onto the fabric, Hooping up and stabilising your fabric so that it is ready to machine stitch, as well as using Applique techniques if you would like to add some more colour/texture by overlaying fabrics on your drawing and then stitching over them. Once your design is ready your will then use machine embroidery to secure everything in place and complete your artwork.
