Bring along you own projects or just the ideas to start with. Safe in the knowledge our expert tutors will be there to help and support you.
All accommodation is right next door in the gorgeous Hunting Lodge a Grade II listed 16th Century House beautifully and thoughtfully restored.
This is a chance to truly relax, enjoy yourself with friends while learning new skills and improving your understanding of pattern cutting.

So what happens on Retreat
Monday Evening arrive at The Hunting Lodge after 4pm. Allowing you to get settled and unload your sewing machine, if you've chosen to bring it. A light supper will be prepared so we can all sit and eat together getting to know one and other.
Tuesday morning after a delicious breakfast provided by The Makers' Kitchen come and meet us over in the Sewing Studio (literally next door to the Lodge) after breakfast and we can help you plan out your pattern cutting projects and what you want to achieve. Investing in a bit of planning will help your time go much more smoothly. So whether it's drafting a basic block, developing a pattern from a sketch or just tweaking something you already have we will be there to help you along the way while you work at your own pace.
The SMS Fabric store and Haberdashery is literally a few paces from the Sewing Studio so any supplies you might need will be right to hand.
The Sewing Studio will be open until 5pm, then it's time to wind down with stroll around the fields or even a soak in the wood fired hot tub! There will be a gently restorative yoga and stretching session if you wish to join us.
Wednesday morning after a delicious breakfast provided by The Makers' Kitchen the Sewing Studio will be open from 9am to 5pm. You will have full use of the studio all day with drafting and cutting demonstrations throughout the day whenever you find them useful. Lunch will be provided again by The Makers' Kitchen and there will be plenty of tea, coffee and cakes to keep you sewing all day.
Again you can choose to relax in the hot tub, go for a walk across the fields or or just chill with a good book before dinner. There will be a gently restorative yoga and stretching session if you wish to join us.
Thursday Morning again the studio will be open after a Makers' Kitchen Breakfast from 9am. You will need to check out of The Hunting Lodge by 10am, but if you leave your bags with us you can spend all morning continuing with pattern cutting projects before lunch is served. Then we can help you wind up your projects and provide you with any information you need to carry on any pattern cutting processes at home before we say goodbye at 4pm.
I can guarantee you will learn new pattern cutting techniques and processes and increase your pattern cutting confidence on this weekend. As well as have fun making a whole host of new sewing friends to take away with you.
We really look forward to you joining us in this fabulous location.
