Time To Get Cosy - Perfect Sewing Patterns For Getting Comfy

Posted on January 11 2023

With party season over, we can finally get cosy and hibernate until the warmer days arrive.

Is your wardrobe lacking comfy garments for you to get snug in? Not to worry! We've put together some outfit inspo using our favourite sewing patterns. So, no matter where you're going or what you're doing - you'll be as snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug in your homemade makes!

Duvet Days

Ahh duvet days. Days made of dreams. Grab a cup of tea (and maybe some leftover Christmas cheese) and get snug under a blanket. Our Rosalind Pyjamas are the comfiest PJs around and the only garments you need to get cracking on your new Netflix watch list.

Want more layers? Then why not throw on our Titania Robe as well? Not only is the Titania comfy and cosy - it is also incredibly easy to make (win win!). All you have to worry about, is what colour fabric to choose.

Pyjamas By Day, Pyjamas By Night

If you've had enough of duvet days, but you're not quite ready to break out the social calendar again - we have the perfect solution.

Day PJs! That's right. Step straight out of your nightwear into comfy (yet stylish) loungewear.

We've paired our Robyn Leggings from The Mechanicals range with the Regan - a versatile sweatshirt which can be dressed up or down. And our Snout Yoga Pants (also from The Mechanicals range) with a customer fave - the Julia Top.

Feel like you're in pyjamas, but look stylish and chic - so no need to worry if you have any unexpected visitors at the door.

Rest and Rest

For those of you ready to break out of hibernation and venture outside, what could be better than our Nell Trousers (lovingly referred to as the secret pyjama bottoms by Jules!)?

Layer up with our Quince Cardi from our Mechanicals Range and you'll be ready to go (even if it is just for a quick dog walk!).

Another comfy classic? The fabulous Paulina Dress. This jersey dress is not like all the others though! With its stepped hem, raglan sleeves and mouse hole pockets - this jumper dress is an absolute must to keep you snug during the colder days. Its loose fit and long length allows you to pair with tights, jeans (or in this case) our Robyn Leggings from our Mechanicals Range.

Cosy Company

POV: you're meeting friends this weekend for a Sunday lunch. You're not quite ready to get fully dressed up, but you still want to look classy, stylish and chic. What do you do?

Say hello to two of our favourite jacket patterns. The fabulous Gertrude, a boxy-styled jacket, perfect for all seasons. And the brand new Greta, with its gorgeous curved hem detailing (which can be made up with sleeves or as a gilet!). Not only are they perfect for layering, but they are undeniably stylish. So stick them on with any garment (we went for a pair of Nells and Heros), and your outfit will be complete!

Sportswear Inspo

Ok, ok... our Mechanicals Pattern range may not exactly be sportswear, but they are a nod to sportswear fashion. Using stretch fabrics and elastic waistlines, these garments are just what you need to stretch it out and feel relaxed.

Need a simple vest top and leggings set to do your morning meditation? You got it! Looking for a pair of stylish wide-leg yoga pants with a roll top waistline to wear on your afternoon walk? No problem! Want a simple, long sleeve top and cardigan to potter around the garden in? Sure thing!

Our Mechanicals range is the perfect pattern pack to build your wardrobe basics...  being active in them is entirely optional!
