Cressida Jumpsuit
Our Cressida Jumpsuit will hopefully have a positive effect on your handmade wardrobe.
The Cressida Jumpsuit has a relaxed 'boilersuit' silhouette with a neat collar and rever. It has bust darts for a bit of shape and easy alterations, but it can be cinched in with the tie belt for a more fitted shape.
The trouser hem finishes above the ankle for a cropped look, but is easy to lengthen or shorten.
Cressida is from 'Troilus and Cressida' the Greek tragedy and our beloved Bard has put his spin on it showing her as a young woman torn from the arms of her lover.
Cressida, a daughter of a Trojan who has defected to the Greeks, has caught the eye of Troilus, a young warrior, but after just one night together the lovers are separated - Cressida is sent to join her father in the Greek camp, in a prisoner exchange for a captured General. Her only way to survive is to use her womanly charms and agrees to become the lover of the Greek Diomedes. As you can imagine Troilus is beside himself.
