Regan Top Pattern
Regan is from King Lear and is his younger slightly less nefarious daughter and sister to Goneril and the delightful and loyal Cordelia.
Some may think Regan is much aligned and dominated by her wicked sister, and that she just wanted to make sure her father wasn't taking on too much in his old age. Some may think this, I couldn't possibly comment. You'll have to read Lear for yourself.
Our Regan though is just a peach! One of the patterns in our growing range of foundation pieces. These are key garments that are easy and quick to make and on which you can build your own handmade wardrobe.
The Regan top is a casual fitting sweatshirt top. Sleeves that fall straight from the shoulder give a slimline silhouette. The slightly tapered body has no dart shaping to make it easy to make up in knit fabric.
Version 1 has full-length sleeves and is finished with a rib or knit fabric neckband, cuffs and waistband.
Version 2 has short sleeves with a deeper cuff finishing at the elbow. The body is slightly shorter but with a deeper waistband to give a more fitted silhouette.
Light-weight sweat-shirting, fleece-backed sweat-shirting, single jersey knits, scuba, French terry, viscose rayon, silk charmeuse.
Sizes 8-22. Suitable for beginners.
