Do you have trouble getting your clothes to fit correctly?
Do you end up just binning the things you make because they don’t fit or feel uncomfortable? Do you want to learn about fit and understand your own body shape better?
Fitting clothes on yourself can be impossible, so in this Fitting Masterclass you will learn all about your own personal, as well as common, fit issues. Learning to observe and analyse the fit is the first step to creating garments that you will want to wear.
This class is not about sewing and making things, so you will not leave with a finished garment.
Instead you will have a better understanding of your own personal fit issues and the knowledge to alter and improve patterns that will enable you to make better fitting clothes for yourself. You may even leave with several garments that fit you much better.
For this Sewing Workshop, you will need to bring along with you:
2 items of clothing you have made, that you are unhappy with the fit. They can be finished garments or calico toiles.
The patterns for those garments so we can use those as a basis to correct any fit issues.
A notebook and pen and a digital camera or your phone to take pictures of your fitted garments.
