If you love the idea of sewing a simple shirt for yourself but have been a bit nervous about starting on a larger project like this - We can help!

Give yourself the gift of some me-time and learn at a relaxed pace across 3x 3hr Evening Classes in the beautiful surroundings of Longbarn Village.  Choose from either the Frida or Eleanor patterns and under the expert tuition of our calm and patient sewing tutor Ann, you will be guided through the steps to create your very own shirt.

--------------------

The Frida Shirt is a lovely style that is great to wear over trousers and leggings. Both styles feature a convertible collar, which means you can either have it open or do it all the way up - giving you lots of different options to work with. Both versions have dropped shoulders and back yoke with a box pleat. You have the option of personalising your shirt with a double row of buttons.

Version 1: Featuring a short sleeve, yoke and box pleat. The bottom of the shirt has a straight hem and a single pocket.

Version 2: Featuring a long sleeve, yoke and box pleat. If you want to roll back the sleeves, you can turn back the cuffs as the shirt features sleeve tabs, as well as a dipped hem at the back.

Suitable fabrics for the Frida include:

Linen | Soft Denim | Viscose Rayon | Printed Cotton | Cotton Lawn | Light Weight Wool

--------------------

The Eleanor Shirt Sewing Pattern is the perfect addition to your Handmade Wardrobe. It is a simple project but includes a few more sewing processes to help you extend your sewing knowledge including buttons, buttonholes and a neat shawl collar.

The trapeze silhouette falls gently from the shoulders allowing ample room for comfort and ease. A simple shirt sleeve ends perfectly at the crease of the elbow, but can be rolled up for a more retro look.

The neat shawl collar sits snugly into the neck and along with the yoke and inverted box pleat at the back provide all the detail you could need.

Suitable Fabrics for the Eleanor include:

Linen | Chambray | Double Gauze | Cotton Lawn | Printed Cotton | Viscose Rayon
