Beth Top Sewing Workshop:  Are you a confident beginner who has sewn several small items but is a little nervous of the leap into dressmaking? This versatile blouse is a great way to step into the wonderful world of making your own clothes!

Create your garment a with the assurance that should you get stuck or need help with any part of it our friendly and patient tutor Ann will be there to guide you through.  

You will Learn:

• How to sew an A-Line shaped top
• How to sew Bust darts
• How to sew a Round neck finish with binding
• How to sew a back neck button fastening with split detail
• How to sew a continuous bound opening on cuffs
• How to sew a gathered cuff with binding and button fastening
• How to sew Rouleau loop button fastenings
• How to sew a Deep faced hem

Skill Level:

 Confident Beginner

• Confident with using a sewing machine
• Mastered the sewing basics
• Can complete simple projects, such as a cushion cover or zipped bag, without any difficulty
• Find your way around an easy project pattern

• Use of all machines and sewing tools.
• Use of our sewing threads in a variety of neutral colours.
• Calico for toiles
• A paper pattern with instruction booklet

What you need to bring:

• Fabric for your Beth Blouse - we recommend either Linen, viscose, viscose crepe, triple crepe, double gauze or cotton lawns
• Matching sewing threads - some available in the studio but we can't guarantee the colour match
• 3 buttons to match your fabric (8mm - 10mm)
• Ready made Bias Binding if not making your own
• Any sewing tools or equipment you want to use from home - but please do not bring your own sewing machine.
