Sewing Open Day - Ask the experts - Entry Ticket

New Year New Hobby?  Do you want to learn how to sew your own clothes, or simply understand how to use a Sewing Machine? Do you want to join a community of like minded individuals who create beautiful hand made artisanal items to adorn your wardrobe and home?   If the answer is yes, then come and join us at The Makers' Space for our Sewing Open Day - Ask the experts - on 28th January.

This is a free event but ticketed as we are hoping to keep track of attendee numbers, so please do select a ticket for all members of your party.

We are throwing open the doors from 10am until 4pm to invite everyone who is interested in sewing. The owner/founder of Sew Me Something, and author of Sewing for the Soul, and Complete Dressmaking; Jules Fallon, will be here to inspire you on your Sewing journey, as well as Janome experts and some of our sewing tutors.

No matter whether you have any previous experience or are new to sewing, you might want advice about a particular machine or a tricky sewing technique,  perhaps you want to know more about our workshops or are simply curious about who we are and what we do.  Everyone is welcome to come and have a chat, look around our wonderful studio spaces and ask questions.

You will get the opportunity to watch demonstrations of our Janome Sewing Machines, Overlockers and Cover Stitch Machines, with a chance to try them out for yourself.  Demonstrations will be run throughout the day and we will post times nearer the event.

While you are here you might like to treat yourself to something delicious to eat from our cafe, The Makers Kitchen. We have freshly brewed coffee from Monsoon Estates, locally made cakes and home made lunches including Vegan & Gluten free options.

Our Sew Me Something Shop and Emporium will be open with a wonderful array of fabrics, patterns, haberdashery, craft and sewing kits and delightful artisanal gift items to browse through.

We are a dog friendly site so you may wish to bring your four legged friends with you for a day out in the country, and the borders of the fields that surround us are accessible from the car park if you need to go for walkies!
